Snowmads Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a display name you choose, used to sign you in and show you to other riders (you can make your profile private in settings).
- Riding activity: check-ins (resort + date + optional note), favourites, trips and alert preferences you create in the app.
- Strava (optional): if you connect Strava, we import your ski/snowboard activities — distance, elevation, average speed and GPS trace — to show your stats. Disconnect at any time from your profile; you can also revoke access at strava.com/settings/apps.
- Payments: premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe sends us only a customer reference.
- Push notifications (optional): if you enable alerts, we store a push subscription token for your device.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad trackers, no analytics profiles. We count page views anonymously (cookieless, aggregate-only — never tied to you), and crash reports contain no personal data.
- We never sell your data.
- We don't track your location — no GPS, ever. Nomad alerts use a home base you pick yourself from a list, and you can remove it any time.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and protected by row-level security. Forecast data comes from Open-Meteo and is not linked to you. Emails are delivered via Resend.
Your choices
- Make your profile private from your profile page — your riding stays yours.
- Delete individual check-ins, trips or alerts in the app at any time.
- Delete your account and all associated data instantly from your profile page (Delete my account) — or email support@snowmads.app and we'll do it for you within 30 days.
